Matt 11:28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I'll give you rest.

Ok, this verse spoke to me instantly as my heart was ranting over several long technical reports I have to read and edit when Anne smsed the verse over. On reading the verse, I immediately stopped editing a report, moved away from my Apple and went to lie on the bed. (I am working on it at home.) I was not prompted to have physical rest. I'm not physically tired. Rather it's my mind that is weary. So much think to about in research, off research, I find my mind so easily drained and unable to focus. Of coz, from the mind came the bodily response: A tired looking/distracted face. Oops.. ranting again.

Anyway I lay on the bed and discharged all other thoughts, then talked to God. Ah, it's like drinking a glass of chilled h2o on a warm, humid day! Easily accessible, something simple yet satisfying. So God gave me rest: a peace of the mind, a mental rest. All that I needed. May God provides you with rest whenever you are emotionally weary or mentally burdened too, other than physical rest. Bless.
